Life is skittles and life is beer...
It's lovely outside now - like in the +20s. At that time where we can actually stop using the word "plus" to describe the temperature. With that comes more poeple people outside. Last night outside my place of employment there was a fire in a dumpster. Actually it was a fire beside a dumpster, but nonetheless.
My co-worker called 911 and the firefighters who came to put it out said that it was their fourth call of the night, and it was not yet even 10:00 pm. It was a bunch of kids that did it - people saw them take off. They left a bike behind, and I have to admit I was amazed at the balls on the kids, who marched right back to the scene to retrieve for the bike while the firefighters were still there!
There were 4 of them, ranging in ages from about 6 to about 11. At first I was mad at the little pricks for doing it. Then I wondered "why are 6 year old kids out lighting fires at 10 pm?" I can think of 2 reasons, both of which made me more sad than angry. One is because their parents are at work trying to support them, and the other is that thir parents don't give a shit about them. Either way, it's really crappy.
I have the whole weekend off and I am pleased about that. My baseball pool is in the proverbial toilet, which I am not so happy about. Hockey playoffs are underway, which I am completely indifferent about.
