Viva beisbol!
"Update your damn blog" they said. So I did, and I changed my picture and everything. I put a little note about Cuba being barred from the World Baseball Classic because of stupid American politics.
About 12 hours later, Cuba is in! I should write about more stuff that pisses me off...
Anyway, it's cool that they get to play, but still not cool that the US is causing such pain and grief in my favourite little Island Nation. The US is worried about Cubans making money...Cuba is donating any money they might have made off this event to U.S. victims of Hurricane Katrina! Talk about who's the better neighbour...
I love that - "the spirit of the sanctions" Quite from the Miami Herald, by the way (link). It seems the US may still be violating the Olympic charter, it's about cycling this time though.
