RIP Richard Pryor
This guy was funny. Being only nine years old at the time, I was unable to convince my parents I should be allowed to see "Stir Crazy" when it came out. I did eventually get to see it, and it was a great movie. As was "The Toy," and who could forget him as "The Wiz," or the guy who sold Gonzo the balloons in "The Muppet Movie," or the guy who skied off the roof in "Superman III"?
I think my favourite though has to be "Brewster's Millions," because it had not only Richard Pryor, but also John Candy and a baseball theme. And, as a quick IMDB search also points out, Jerry Orbach.
If you're into stand up comedy, which I spent a lot of time listeing to as a kid, check out "Richard Pryor Live on the Sunset Strip."
